Responsibilities:
● Oversee and lead the permitting team, ensuring all daily tasks and project
pipelines are being managed in a timely and efficient manner.
● Act as the primary point of contact for handling escalations related to difficult
jurisdictions, complex HOA requirements, or delayed approvals.
● Develop and implement new ways to streamline internal processes, heavily
focusing on the use of automation to increase team efficiency and output.
● Oversee and assist with the filing of necessary municipal permits and securing
Homeowner Association (HOA) approvals for residential solar projects.
● Work closely with customers, municipalities, and internal departments to resolve
processing issues and remove operational roadblocks.
● Manage the close out of all permits to ensure final compliance and
documentation are complete.
Experience:
● Prior experience in a leadership or managerial role, preferably within solar or
construction operations.
● Extensive experience with municipal permitting and/or HOA approval processes.
● Proven track record of identifying bottlenecks and implementing process
improvements or automation.
● CRM experience required (Salesforce preferred).
● Must be a self-motivated team player with a strong work ethic and customer
service focus.
● Must be highly organized and possess strong attention to detail to manage a
busy department.
● Excellent interpersonal, written communication, and problem-solving skills.
